Sometimes I blame myself. 
I was there and saw it happen.

There was nothing I could do.
At least that's what I tell myself.
That's what I tell the others.

In my nightmares I try to beat back the flames.
But the flames always consume me.
I never reach the plane.

Everyone around me is slowing dying.
Toby, CJ, Sam, they aren't the same.
I wasn't there to help them either.

I can't look at Leo.
Margaret can't look at me.

At the last minute, he wanted to talk to me.
She drove me to the airport.

I was late.
I was too late.

The plane exploded sitting on the ground.
Both of us watched in disbelief.
So many died that day.

I'm going home and Donna's coming with me.

We're not needed here anymore. 
The President won't be seeking a second term.
